Anna update...
She:
- is finally starting to talk. It took her a little longer than some kids I know, but she is still in that 'normal' range, but you know it had me worried. It's pretty cute. She watches how I say things then she tries to repeat - sometimes she gets it, and sometimes she doesn't, but she keeps trying. It seems like she picks up a new word or two everyday. Some of her new words: shoes, outside, swings, 2 of her friends' names, water, chalk, car.
- prefers to run most places.
- LOVES to be outside more than anything - especially on the swings or slide.
- still doesn't watch TV.
- is a pretty good eater - everything from fruit and cheese to candy and junk food (not too much though!)
- likes to eat ice and popsicles.
- likes to say "hi" to all the neighborhood dogs
- is very curious
- is very determined
- is very independent
- likes to be held - when she wants to be held
- likes to be the boss, or at least tries to be the boss
- doesn't like to have her picture taken
- is shy with new people at first, but then is very friendly
- likes going to day care to be with her teachers and friends
- LOVES to listen to stories
- is getting better at going places (grocery, stores)
- throws tantrums on a daily basis - multiple tantrums a day really - usually because she isn't getting her way
- is understanding consequences: if you do this, then this will happen. She still challenges what we say sometimes. We have to stick to our guns with her, or she'll walk all over us.
- sits in timeout when she doesn't follow the rules
- sticks her bottom lip out and sticks her chin out for kisses; it's so stinkin' cute.
- loves to give hugs and kisses
- makes me so happy!
Love that girl.
