People compare me to Celine Dion

I've been singing ever since I can remember...Old McDonald at Preschool, We are the World in Kindergarten, 50 Nifty United States in the 5th grade concert, Brown Eyed Girl in 7th grade, The Sweater Song and Blackbird in High School. In college I was "DJing" (I use the term loosely as I was making a play list from illegally downloaded songs) parties at Lane, singing classics like The Sign, I Think We're Alone Now, and Pour Some Sugar on Me. Now that I have Anna, I'm back to those old classics: Twinkle Twinkle, I'm a Little Teapot, and Itsy Bitsy Spider. So, I think I might try out for American Idol! LOL

I love American Idol - the people are so delusional. Why don't they know they can't sing? Anna truly loves when I sing. IDK why for sure, but I saw a commercial on tv today that said something to the effect of: babies often love sounds and noises that adults find annoying. I know that I can't sing, and Bryan often reminds me I can't sing (but that doesn't stop me). It makes me wonder: how many people in the world are living in fantasy land and surround themselves with others living in that same fantasy land or even an adjoining one? Life can be hard, I know, but face it, you do not sound like Celine, Mariah, or Whitney, so please get a job, pay your bills, and don't procreate until you've learned "life's not fair, just deal with it."

One more thing...my audition song will be: Heartbreaker by Pat Benatar.

I like to think of baby names

So, I'm watching the Today Show - again. Breaking news...the lady in CA that had 8 babies at one time also had 6 other children at home. Yes, math whiz, that means she has 14 children now! I guess to each their own.
I love Jon and Kate plus 8. I think a lot of couples can relate to them (without 8 kids). They seem so normal. I often think about what I would name my kids if I had 8 (by the way, Bryan takes no part in this because he thinks talking about baby names when they don't exist is pointless - men!)...twins: Anna and Olivia, sextuplets 1: Sadie, Molly, Mia, Cameron, Brady, and Landon, sextuplets 2: Abigail, Elizabeth, Maria, William, Luke, and Davis. I have 2 choices for sextuplets because choice 1 names are more trendy while choice 2 names are more classic. I think the names Sadie and Molly are so cute, but I think people name their dogs those names.
If and when I do have another baby I will not buy that baby toys, but rather big kitchen spoons, bowls, wires(j/k), tables to pull up on, an old laptop, and everything black. Anna prefers all of these things to her brightly colored singing toys she received for Christmas.
Well, I'm off to sit in the house some more.

I'll give it a try

I'm trying this blog thing. I think the urge is from the boredom of 3 snow days - stuck inside. I don't know if it's such a good idea to have something to feel responsible for since I already have several real responsibilities: being a mom, a wife, a dog owner, and a teacher. My hubby said I'm weird for doing this, and that may be true. So, like I said, I'll give it a try.
A friend from school, Alyssa, introduced me to two foodie blogs: Pioneer Woman and Annie's Eats. I didn't even know this world existed. These women (as well as many others) make beautiful food, take kick-ass pictures of their pretty food, then tell you how to make it. I have a love for baking, but try to limit my adventures since it's no good for me. I do enjoy searching the foodie blogs looking for fun recipes.
I will not be a foodie, but I will post some of my food adventures from time to time. You might enjoy some, but be warned: I limit salt and sugar in my foods as much as possible, so change them as you see fit.
